PlateIQ operates globally excluding the Russian Federation. This App is not intended for, and is not available to, users who are residents or citizens of Russia. We do not target, solicit, accept or process personal data of any persons located in or residents of the Russian Federation. If you are located in Russia, please do not use our website or application.

To provide you with our AI-powered calorie tracking and nutrition planning services, we collect the following types of information:

A. Personal Information You Disclose to Us

Account Data: Email address, nickname/name, and password (encrypted).
Social Login Data: If you log in via Google or Apple, we collect your email and public profile information associated with that provider.

B. Health and Biometric Data (Sensitive Information)

To calculate your daily calorie needs and track progress, we collect:

Gender, Age, Height, Current Weight, and Target Weight.
Activity level and Dietary goals (e.g., "Lose Weight", "Gain Muscle").
Food logs (meals consumed, calories, macronutrients).
Allergies and dietary restrictions.

C. User Content (AI Analysis)

Food Photos: When you upload photos of meals, they are transmitted to our servers to be analyzed by Artificial Intelligence algorithms for food recognition and calorie estimation.

D. Automatically Collected Information

Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers.
Location Data: We do not collect precise GPS coordinates. We collect your general Timezone (e.g., "Asia/Kuala_Lumpur") and IP address to ensure meal logs correspond to your local time.
Payment Information: We use Stripe to process payments. We do not store your credit card details. We only store a token ID and the status of your subscription (e.g., "Active", "Expired").

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data for the following purposes:

Service Provision: To create your account, calculate your nutrition plan, and track your progress.
AI Improvement: To analyze food photos and improve the accuracy of our calorie recognition algorithms.
Communication: To send you technical notices, updates, and security alerts.
Analytics: To understand how users interact with the App (using tools like Google Analytics/Firebase) to improve user experience.
Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws and regulations.

4. International Data Transfer & Storage

All user data is stored securely on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) servers located in the United States (region: us-central1).

This App is not offered to users in Russia and does not process personal data of Russian residents. For all other users, by using the App you consent to the transfer of your personal data to the United States.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.

Delete Account: You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time. You can do this directly within the App:

Go to Profile > Scroll down to the "Danger Zone" > Tap Delete Account.

This action is irreversible and will immediately remove your personal data from our active databases.
